A celebration of life will be Saturday, Dec. 12, for David Hamilton Currier of Patterson, who died Sunday, Dec. 6, at Kaiser Foundation Hospital in Modesto.

Mr. Currier, 56, was a native of Atlanta and lived in Patterson four years. He previously lived in San Jose and was a heating, ventilation and air conditioning mechanic for 35 years. A U.S. Navy veteran, he was a member of the Masons, Shriners and Autobahn Society and a former Boy Scout leader who established Troop 287 in San Jose. He was an active participant in living-history reenactments.

Mr. Currier is survived by his wife, B.J. Currier of Patterson; son, Alex Currier of Marysville, Wash.; daughters, Liz Currier of San Jose and Katie Currier of Broomfield, Colo.; brother, Steve Currier of San Mateo; sister, Joy Sandoval of Tehachapi; and two grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Belmont and Julia Currier.

Saturday’s celebration of life will be from noon to 3 p.m. at the Federated Methodist-Presbyterian Church, 45 S. El Circulo, in Patterson. Burial will be private. Hillview Funeral Chapel, 450 W. Las Palmas Ave., in Patterson, is handling arrangements.
